History

Arno Wildeman founded Tietex in the United States in 1974. Emigrating from the United Kingdom, he proved to be a dynamic and determined innovator. His company soon gained a worldwide reputation as a quality fabric manufacturer and inventor of proprietary textile products. For over 30 years, we have continued to uphold Arno's visionary thinking and work ethic.

Today, we remain family owned - a vertically integrated fabric manufacturer with five factory locations and over 800 employees located in North America, Europe and Asia.

We produce fabrics for home and office, including upholstery, office panels, wall covering, curtains, window blinds and mattress fabrics. In addition, a wide variety of technical fabrics include athletic footwear, roofing, filtration, hygiene, technical and industrial applications. This broad exposure to diverse markets inspires us to develop new ideas and products for the future.
