SHOWTIME CONFIRMS TIETEX COMMITMENT TO PRODUCT DESIGN TRANSFORMATION.
Grimsley And Design Team Take Program To Another Level, Durham Says.
HIGH POINT, NC -- Coming out of its June Showtime exhibition, Tietex Interiors has announced the most comprehensive change to its fabric program in company history.
Mike Durham, president, said the company's program has undergone sweeping revisions under the direction of Kim Grimsley. He said, "When Kim joined us last year, she said she wouldn't be satisfied with business as usual and she's been true to her word."
In eight short months, Durham said, Grimsley and the Tietex design team literally changed everything. "With Kim at the helm, we basically have moved to another level.
Our existing customers saw the difference at Showtime, and we attracted first-time visits from many other top companies," he said. "By far, our presentation was received more enthusiastically than any other in company history," he added.
Grimsely confirmed that the Tietex fabric program was already on the rise before her arrival. "But," she said, "we decided our business strategy could no longer afford a moderate approach that simply allows us to keep pace with trends. Instead, we've vowed to do what's required to become trend setters in the fabric industry."
According to Grimsley, this leadership asserted itself at Showtime. "Our customers learned that we have an extraordinarily broad offering, unlike anything they've seen from us. They learned we're a great color house and also that we offer excellent options, exclusivity, price points and delivery."
Durham said Tietex's existing and prospective customers responded by making unprecedented sampling requests. "These are gratifying results in light of last year's announcement that we would devote even more resources to domestic fabric production as part of our global business strategy.
Founded in 1974, Tietex International is a principal manufacturer and supplier of fabrics for a wide variety of applications developed within four operating divisions -- Upholstery, Ticking, Technical and Windows. The company has operations in the U.S., Mexico, Thailand and Australia.
